Do I have to go bankrupt?
Sometimes taking the first step is the hardest part of gaining control over your finances, but our professional, friendly consultants do their best to put you at ease. They understand the difficulties you're facing, and they are committed to helping you get through them as smoothly as possible.

A free confidential meeting to determine the best course of action
In order to assist you in the best way, your consultant will get to know your personal financial picture, and determine the right solution for you. This includes:

• Reviewing your monthly household income and expenses
• Reviewing your debt to determine not just the amount owed but whether there are any special types of debt such as secured debt, government debt or student loans
• Reviewing your assets, like your car and your home, to determine what effect the various options may have on your assets, if any

What to bring
Please bring the following items with you:

• A recent pay stub
• Recent credit card or loan statements
• Any information you may have regarding assets such as RRSP statements or a copy of vehicle ownership
• Copy of most recent income tax return.

Even if you do not have everything for the appointment, bring what you can. Your financial counsellor will let you know what additional information may be needed.
